In Berlin is reportedly ongoing work on advanced software that will have movie options. According to some media reports, it is a computer system that will be able to "predict" future crimes. Such software is seen in a science fiction movie Minority Report.
Mention the software currently under development concept, and will work so that "pulls data from numerous statistical sources", based on which real-time forecast is made about when and where it would be kind of a potential crime could happen.
The system is called "Precobs" (Pre-Crime observation system). The name was chosen as a reference to the term "precog" used in the aforementioned Steven Spielberg movie Minority Report, in which the main idea of stopping crimes before they happen. This software to predict crime in real time develops Institute Prediction Technique in Oberhausen. In regard to point out that, involves a number of factors, such as time and exact date of the last crime in a particular area, and all of this could supposedly refer to the following crimes and the likelihood of their realization.
Will the system to become official and enter the mass use in a big way, is not yet known.
